Crossroads Visa Distribution Map

This map displays the total annual flows of documented immigrants as a share of the national population across 30 countries in a given year. The circles above each country reflect the size of the annual flows--the number of foreigners who are admitted in a given year divided by the national population. Select a country by clicking anywhere in its territory or the circle itself, and a text box will appear with the distribution of permanent and temporary visas. The first tab reveals the distribution of permanent entries across economic, family, humanitarian and other (including free movement) visas. All data is from the most recent year available across all selected countries (2011).
