This is a 3 hour Introduction to GIS workshop to the Summer Research Interns hosted by
the Office of Diversity and Minority Affairs.
The workshop will include an introductory lecture on map creation, Geographic Information Systems, and geographic analysis. Students will then use Google Maps, Google Earth, WorldMap, QGIS and ArcGIS software to complete a variety of introductory mapping and analysis exercises.
