CGA NEWS
New tools within AfricaMap and HGL
The ability to download data sets from the Harvard Geospatial Library while working in the AfricaMap (WorldMap) Framework was recently released. Also, the HGL Standing Committee has prioritized interoperability as a strategic goal, and now HGL data layers selected by keyword searches can be exposed as a dynamic GeoRSS data feed. HARVARD GIS COMMUNITY NEWS
H. T. Fisher Prize Award Recipients for 2009-2010
The Committee of the Howard T. Fisher Prize in Geographical Information Science, Harvard University, is pleased to announce three recipients of the award for the academic year 2009-2010: Tiziana Smith, Katherine Levine and Yuin Mae Ng. The Committee observed that between them these three submissions show the breadth of topics and approaches in geo-spatial analysis, including both statistical sophistication and cartographic eloquence, and addressing both scientific and socio-economic themes.
