CGA NEWS
New GPS Mapping Device
The CGA has recently purchased a Magellan Mobile Mapper 6 GPS device for any Harvard affiliate to use. The unit runs Windows Moblie, ArcPad 8, is wifi and Bluetooth enabled, has a camera and flashlight. It can map to 2m of accuracy with differential correction, with attribute collection. CGA Fall Training Dates Announced

CONFERENCES
Call for nominations - NRC Study on International Science at the USGS
A new study by the National Research Council is shortly scheduled to begin at the request of the USGS. The study, “Opportunities and Challenges for International Science at the U.S. Geological Survey”, is designed to assist the USGS in developing and improving international scientific interactions and collaborations. Nominees to the study committee are now being sought. For more:
